Animals on Broadway Takes to the Web for Virtual Pet Walk

This month, we’re celebrating the 20th anniversary of Animals on Broadway! While we can’t throw the party of the year just yet, the show must go on. On-line, that is! Sign up as an individual or as a team with friends to raise money for animals in need.

This Sunday, May 17, gather ‘round with your whole family — including your pets — to save lives during our virtual pet walk! We'll be sharing animal stories, hosting an online auction, treating you to special guests, and showing all the good your generosity does to save lives and keep families together.

PS: Get the chance to be featured in the official virtual walk video  send us footage of your furry friend on leash taking a walk around the block!

Despite Lockdown, Kitten Season Carries On

Every year without fail, springtime arrives and brings with it a boom of infant cats to animal shelters. While that may sound downright adorable, young kittens place a strain on public shelters as they rally to provide space, time, and resources for some of the most vulnerable lives in animal welfare.

With many spay/neuter and trap-neuter-return (TNR) programs on hiatus due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the country will be facing a larger-than-usual surge of kittens. Micah, a 2-week-old orphan, is a perfect example of what shelters face this time of year.

Resource Center Helps Those in Need

As more pet guardians find themselves in uncertain times, ARF is here to assist those in need. The beating heart of our response efforts is the ARF Resource Center. Our team offers public guidance and connection with services for pet-related issues, including keeping or re-homing a pet, lost and found animals, available low-cost services, what to do if you find kittens, and more.
