Breaking Ground on ARF's Pets and Vets Center
4.4Groundbreaking.jpg

The air was abuzz with excitement as ARF co-founders Elaine and Tony La Russa, Executive Director Elena Bicker, and ARF board members past and present, broke ground on ARF's Pets and Vets Center.

The expansion is part of ARF’s $18.7 million “Saving Both Ends of the Leash®” campaign. The majority of this funding has come from individuals, we're asking community to help with the final $1 million to get to the finish line. For every dollar donated now, the Engelstad Family Foundation will match the public’s donations 2:1. This translates to $3 for every $1 given! Will you make a gift today to bring this project home and continue saving and enriching the lives of both at-risk animals and military heroes? Read more...
Paws Hit the Pavement at Animals on Broadway

Animals on Broadway, everyone’s favorite outdoor animal festival, is back! Join us at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek, CA on Sunday, May 19 for a day of celebrating the magical bond between people and pets.

The day begins at 10:30 am with our fundraising Pet Walk, an easy one-mile loop through downtown Walnut Creek. Grab some friends, family, co-workers, or anyone else to be part of your Pet Walk team and help us reach this year’s fundraising goal of $100,000 via your personalized fundraising page on the Animals on Broadway website. After the Walk, stay and play with our Pet Wellness Fair, animal demonstrations, fantastic raffle prizes, and adoptable animals from rescue groups around the Bay Area. And don’t forget to bring your furry companions; they’re always welcome at Animals on Broadway! We’ll see you at Broadway Plaza on Sunday, May 19.
Springtime Fosters Needed!
4.4Foster.jpg

Every year as winter subsides, springtime brings a boom of infant kittens and puppies into shelters, many of which are already overcrowded with animals. Albeit cute, these delicate lives can require constant care, attention, and resources to ensure they grow to be healthy, strong, and confident young cats and dogs. You can help them on this journey. ARF utilizes the talents of our amazing network of foster volunteers - and we need you!

Fostering is a fun way for you and your family to care for a pet without the long-term commitment of adoption. We provide all the food, toys, litter, and more … all you need is space in your home and heart. To sign up for a foster orientation (offered both online and in-person), visit arflife.org/foster.
