Help Get Them Back on Their Feet

The delicate, two and a half-pound puppy gave a gentle sigh, her slender front legs dwarfed by oversized casts wrapped in thick layers of bandages. She’d been found on the street by a good samaritan who saw the fawn colored pup shivering and unable to walk, and turned her into the local public animal shelter hoping she’d receive the care she obviously needed. But Leila’s injury was worse than anyone could have imagined - her two front legs were severely broken, and the public shelter lacked the resources to treat such a serious injury, and the time for her to recover and heal properly. Walk to Save Lives on May 14

Get ready to put your paws to the pavement and walk to save lives - Animals on Broadway is back at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek on Saturday, May 14! Join hundreds of animal lovers and their four-legged companions for our annual Pet Walk, an easy, one-mile walk around Broadway Plaza to boost awareness of the plight of abandoned animals and raise the critical funds needed to rescue them from public shelters. We’re counting on you to help us raise $95,000 this year to help save even more dogs and cats! It’s easy to register and create your personal webpage to start raising money for ARF’s animals. Email your friends and family and use social media to collect donations to support your walk, or rally a group of dedicated animal lovers to form a Pack and raise money as a team! Tee off to help the animals at the FORE! ARF golf tournament on April 11 at Round Hill Country Club in Alamo. This rousing day on the green includes lunch, food and wine holes on course, a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception, raffle prizes, awards presentation, silent auction, and much more - all while supporting ARF’s lifesaving programs for pets and people.
