Give Them Love All Year Long

dieselthumb.jpgDiesel, a big tabby cat, spent much of his life as a stray and was found scrounging for food at a local construction site. The crew took him to what they thought was a safe place - a public shelter - but his fate there quickly became uncertain as more animals arrived every day, adding to the overcrowding. ARF’s rescue team took one look at him as he nuzzled against the bars in his small cage, and knew the friendly cat deserved a second chance. Read more...

30,000 Lives Saved

Ravioli, a twelve-week-old long-haired tabby kitten, weighs just three pounds. But he has the impressive distinction of being the 30,000th pet adopted from ARF since our founding in 1991. Ravioli was turned into a public animal shelter when he was just a few weeks old, where he was rescued by ARF and placed in a foster home. He was chosen by his new family in January. “We relish these moments and milestones, but remain focused on the rescue efforts ahead,” says Elena Bicker, ARF's executive director. View ARF's adoptable pets!
